Hello, I’m Tim Carney, Director of Medicare Services at The Advocator Group. I’m responsible for overseeing the company’s Medicare Decision Support program, which is available to assist disabled individuals with the coordination and optimization of their Medicare coverage. In my current role, I get to educate others as a frequent speaker and presenter.
My main areas of expertise are Social Security Disability Insurance and Medicare, as well as employer-sponsored retiree medical benefits for disabled and retired employees. I originally joined The Advocator Group in 2008 as a member of the Hearing Advocacy team, but I’ve enjoyed contributing to other various aspects of our organization’s advocacy services during my time here. In 2010, I settled into my current position as Director of Medicare Services.
I’m an alumni of Suffolk University Law School and am licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. Outside of Massachusetts, I’m licensed and certified to provide advice on Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Part D coverage matters in all 50 U.S. states.
